Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, 36, of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, United States is fighting for redemption and for his 24th win in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He currently holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 36 wins, 15 losses and 2 No Contest.

In August 2018, Eduard “Landslide” Folayang, 37, of Baguio City, Philippines trained at Jackson-Wink MMA in Albuquerque. Training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines, he competes in the lightweight division of ONE Championship.

Cerrone’s most recent fight, which was against Niko “The Hybrid” Price, 31, of Cape Coral, Florida, USA on September 19, 2020 at “UFC Fight Night 178,” ended in a No Contest. Prior to this, the Albuquerque resident suffered four consecutive losses.

Cerrone was knocked out by Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson, 37, of Oxnard, California, USA at “UFC 238” on June 8, 2019, by Justin “The Highlight” Gaethje, 32, of Safford, Arizona, USA at “UFC Fight Night 158” on September 14, 2019 and Conor “Notorious” McGregor, 32, of Dublin, Ireland at “UFC 246” on January 18, 2020. On May 9, 2020, Anthony “Showtime” Pettis, 34, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA defeated Cerrone via unanimous decision on May 9, 2020.

The last time Cerrone won a UFC bout was on May 4, 2019 at “UFC Fight Night 151,” where he defeated Al “Raging” Iaquinta, 34, of New York City, New York, USA via unanimous decision. It marked Cerrone’s 23rd UFC win.

UFC Vegas 26

Featuring 12 MMA matches, the UFC will hold “UFC on ESPN 24,” also known as “UFC Vegas 26,” at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Las Vegas Valley, Clark County, Nevada, USA on May 8, 2021. In the co-main event of the evening, Cerrone will fight Alex “The Great White” Morono, 30, of Houston, Texas, USA in the welterweight division.

Morono is coming out of his unanimous decision loss to Pettis at “UFC Fight Night 183” on December 19, 2020. The Texan MMA fighter made his professional MMA debut in 2010 and joined the UFC in 2016.

Competing professionally since 2006, Cerrone made his UFC debut in 2011. Before joining the promotion, he competed in Ring of Fire, American Championship Fighting, Greatest Common Multiple and World Extreme Cagefighting.

On November 10, 2018, Cerrone submitted Mike “Platinum” Perry, 29, of Altamonte Springs, Florida via armbar at “UFC Fight Night 139.” It was Cerrone’s 21st UFC win, making him the professional MMA fighter with the most UFC wins.

“UFC Vegas 26” marks Cerrone’s 37th UFC fight. This makes him the professional MMA fighter with the most UFC fights.
