Team Lakay’s Jeremy Pacatiw to make ONE Championship debut at ‘ONE: Battleground’ in Singapore


Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, 25, of Kapangan, Benguet, Philippines will make his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Battleground.” Training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, the Igorot mixed martial artist will fight “The Ghost” Chen Rui (陈睿), 24, of Chengdu, Sichuan, China.

Featuring one Muay Thai contest, one kickboxing bout and four MMA fights, “ONE: Battleground” will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on July 30, 2021. In the second bout of the evening, Pacatiw and Rui will battle it out in an MMA bout in the bantamweight division.

Prajanchai PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym, 25, of Bangkok, Thailand will challenge reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, 37, of Bangkok in the main event of “ONE: Battleground.” In the co-main event, “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang, 36, of Myitkyina, Myanmar will fight Leandro Ataides, 34, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in an MMA bout in the middleweight division.


As an amateur MMA fighter, Pacatiw competed in Pacific Xtreme Combat (PXC). On November 20, 2015, he made his professional MMA debut at “Sparty Fighting Championship 7.”

From December 2, 2016 to December 27, 2019, the Team Lakay fighter competed at the BRAVE Combat Federation (BRAVE CF). He went on a hiatus amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in 2020.


Pacatiw currently holds a professional MMA record of 7 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Rui has 9 wins and 2 losses.

Rui made his ONE Championship debut on August 26, 2016. “ONE: Battleground” marks his eighth outing in the Singapore-based martial arts organization.


The reigning strawweight champion of ONE Championship is Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 25, of Baguio City, Philippines. He trains out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines.

Pacio has been competing in ONE Championship since 2016. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 19 wins and 3 losses.
