Featuring one Muay Thai contest, one kickboxing bout and four MMA fights, “ONE: Battleground” took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on July 30, 2021. While Team Lakay fighters are known for their dangerous striking prowess, Pacatiw exhibited his ground game throughout the three five-minute rounds. In the first round, he attempted a rear-naked choke submission but it was not enough to force Chen to tap out.

The bantamweight contest went the distance. In the end, referee Olivier Coste raised the hand of Pacatiw, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

“ONE: Battleground” marked Pacatiw’s ONE Championship debut. His win improved his professional MMA record to 11 wins and 4 losses.

As an amateur MMA fighter, Pacatiw competed in Pacific Xtreme Combat (PXC). On November 20, 2015, he made his professional MMA debut at “Sparty Fighting Championship 7.”

From December 2, 2016 to December 27, 2019, the Team Lakay fighter competed at the BRAVE Combat Federation (BRAVE CF). He went on a hiatus amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in 2020.

ONE Championship was founded on July 14, 2011. Among its rivals as the top MMA promotions in the world are the Ultimate Fighting ChampionshipBellator MMA and Professional Fighters League.

The reigning strawweight champion of ONE Championship is Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 25, of Baguio City, Philippines. He trains out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines.

Pacio has been competing in ONE Championship since 2016. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 19 wins and 3 losses.
