Hard-hitting Brit dynamo Sam “The Future” Patterson is days away from his pivotal lightweight clash against hometown favorite Kamil Magomedov at “BRAVE CF 55” in Rostov-on-Don, Russia on November 6, 2021. This marks the BRAVE Combat Federation debut of the latter.
Patterson is a veteran of the BRAVE CF cage. However, he has not faced someone near the caliber of Magomedov yet in his young career.

Among the 14 fights Magomedov has under his belt, he won 11 via submission. The Russian mixed martial artist is considered much of a threat on the ground.
This could put a ferocious striker such as Patterson in a tough situation over the course of three rounds. However, the Englishman is motivated to give his Russian opponent a rude awakening when the fight hits the mat.
“I’ve got a jiu-jitsu game and I’ve got a wrestling game,” Patterson said. “I just haven’t shown it yet because everyone wants to strike with me.”
By looking at Patterson’s impressive 7-1-1 record, it somehow backs up his claims as “The Future” has three victories by way of submission. The last time he got a cage foe to tap was when he forced Ireland’s Cian “The Warrior” Cowley to wave the white flag in the third round with a rear-naked choke.

In the final stretch of his training camp at the world-renowned Team Crossface in Watford, England, Patterson hopes that his revamped set of skills will carry him to victory at “BRAVE CF 55.” This will be his sixth BRAVE CF fight.
“I have gotten to another level,” Patterson said. “In every single fight, I make improvements and I have gotten to a whole other level again.”
BRAVE CF was founded on September 23, 2016 by Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Among its rivals as the top MMA promotions in the world are the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Bellator MMA, Professional Fighters League and ONE Championship.
The reigning strawweight champion of ONE Championship is Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 25, of Baguio City, Philippines. His Team Lakay teammates and fellow ONE Championship athletes Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 27, and Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, 24, are former BRAVE CF athletes.
