The newly crowned Miss World 2021 is from Łódź, Poland. She is Karolina Bielawska, 21, a model with a bachelor’s degree in management.
Bielawska is the second Miss World from Poland. The first one is Aneta Kręglicka of Szczecin, Poland, who was 24 years old when she was crowned Miss World 1989 in Hong Kong on November 22, 1989.

Łódź, Poland
A former industrial center, Łódź was grand town rights in 1423. It is the third largest city in Poland.
In 1945, Łódź became the temporary seat of power of Poland. In 2017, the city was inducted into the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Creative Cities Network and named UNESCO City of Film.
Hanna Zdanowska, 62, is the incumbent mayor of Łódź. She assumed office on December 13, 2010.

Miss World 2021
From 97 miss World 2021 candidates, only 40 quarterfinalists were selected to compete during the coronation night at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 16, 2022. Hosted by Peter Andre and Fernando Allende, the coronation ceremony featured performances by Miss World 2019 Toni Ann Singh, 26, of Jamaica and the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra.
Singh has the longest Miss World reign. She was not able to crown her successor in 2020 and in 2021 due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Runner-up to Bielawska is Shree Saini, 25, of Seattle, Washington, United States while Olivia Yacé, 23, of Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire is second runner-up. Carla Yules, 25, of Surabaya, Indonesia, Karolina Vidales, 24, of Jiquilpan, Mexico and Anna Leitch, 27, of Cookstown, Northern Ireland finished in the Top 6.
Representing the Philippines, Tracy Maureen Perez, 28, finished in the Top 13. On October 25, 2020, she represented Cebu City at Miss Universe Philippines 2020 in Baguio City and finished in the Top 16.
