Darya Kamil is an Iraqi athlete and physician specializing in sports injury, physical rehabilitation and physiotherapy. Hailing from Kirkuk, Iraq, he is the president of Kirkuk Sports Medicine Association

In January 2022, Kamil won the inaugural edition of Mister Intercontinental in Iraq, besting 14 other candidates from 14 other countries. He is the first person to represent Iraq in Man of the World.

On June 18, 2022, Kamil represented Iraq at Man of the World 2022 and competed against 21 other candidates at Baguio Convention Center in Baguio City, Philippines. He was unplaced.

Aside from Baguio City, Kamil and his fellow Man of the World 2022 candidates visited several other parts of the Philippines. Among them are Abra, Apayao, Kalinga and Taguig.

Miss Earth 2008 Karla Paula Henry, 36, and Philippines-based Brazilian actor and model Fabio Ide, 34, hosted the Man of the World 2022 coronation night. The ceremony also featured performances by Filipino-American rapper Ezekiel “Ez Mil” Miller, 23, and his sister Raynn.

It was the fourth edition of the international beauty pageant. The competition started in 2017 but went on hiatus in 2020 and in 2021 due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
