Los Angeles, California’s Sydney Mikayla voices Robby Malto in ‘Transformers: EarthSpark’

General Hospital” star Sydney Mikayla, 19, is in the voice cast of “Transformers: EarthSpark“. The computer-animated television series is based on the “Transformers” franchise by Hasbro and Takara Tomy.

“Transformers: EarthSpark” will debut in Southeast Asia on November 28, 2022 on the Nickelodeon channel. In the United States and Canada, the first 10 episodes of the premiere season will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ from November 11, 2022 and the series will debut overseas beginning on November 1, 2022 on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon channels around the world.

In the series, Mikayla voices Robby Malto, a 13-year-old boy adjusting to his new life after being forced to move to a small town. The character’s 9-year-old sister Morgan “Mo” Malto is voiced by Zion Broadnax, 11. 

The series is executive produced by Ciro Nieli, 48, Nicole Dubuc, 43, Ant Ward, 38, and Dale Malinowski, 37. Also in the voice cast are Diedrich Bader, 55, as a scientist and roboticist named Mandroid, Alan Tudyk, 51, as Optimus Prime and Cissy Jones, 43, as Optimus Prime’s second-in-command Elita-1.

On October 9, 2022, Mikayla, Broadnax, Bader and Jones will head to New York Comic Con for a “Transformers: EarthSpark” panel. They will be joined by Ward and Malinowski in Room 405 at the Javits Center in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. that day.

“Transformers: EarthSpark” introduces a new generation of Transformers robots called Terrans, the first Transformers robots to be born on Earth. Together with the humans who welcome them in and care for them, they will redefine what it means to be a family.

Mikayla was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, USA. The city is around 384 miles away from Vallejo, California, one of the sister cities of Baguio City, Philippines.

In 2014, Mikayla played Gabby Douglas, 26, in the Olympic gymnast’s Lifetime biopic. In 2019, the Los Angeles native joined the cast of the ABC daytime soap opera “General Hospital“.
